THE DISTRICT / La Tour Eiffel
This metal tower, of a current height of 324 meters, has been built on the field of Champ de Mars by the Engineer and Architect Gustave Eiffel for the universal exhibition of 1889. This building, which generated famous controversies, will become the most representative symbol of Paris and its most visited monument.
The district of the Trocadero, where it is established, is a highly touristic place with many museums, including the Museum of Man, the Navy Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and, more recently, the Museum of the Primitive Arts, more commonly named Quai Branly Museum.
